10 Best Galaxy S22 Tips and Tricks You Should Know

Are you planning to buy the Samsung Galaxy S22? Check out the best Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra tips and tricks.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra are the company’s latest flagships, and they carry a powerful punch. In a new incarnation, they both combine better hardware and software. The default settings are adequate for getting by. If you want to get the most out of your new Samsung phone, you’ll need to configure it according to your needs or preferences. If you are considering purchasing the Galaxy S22 or Galaxy S22 Ultra, here are some of the greatest Samsung Galaxy S22 tips and tricks to be aware of.

1. ADD SMART WIDGETS

The integration of Smart Widgets is one of the new features of the Galaxy S22 and S22 Ultra. These widgets may be stacked and are completely customisable. What makes it more appealing is the ability to have your favourite apps occupy only a single place on your phone.

Long-tap the home screen and choose Widgets to add a Smart Widget. Once inside, go to the Smart Widgets section and choose one of the alternatives. Because the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a tall screen, the second smart widget appears to be a good fit.

The best feature is that you can personalise the widgets and include your favourite apps. To add the applications, long-tap the widget (once it’s been added to the home screen) and choose Settings. Then, choose the Add widget option and enter the app of your choosing.

You may also make the backdrop of the widget translucent. Select Current widget settings, and the choice will appear. Please keep in mind that it is not accessible for all widgets.

2. CUSTOMIZE THE ACCENT COLOR

Another useful Galaxy S22 technique is to change the colour of the home screen to your liking. You may, for example, set the palette to Blue or Turquoise. Surprisingly, you may use this colour scheme on some of the icons.

To do so, long-tap the home screen and pick Wallpaper and style. Then, touch on the Hue palette and choose your favourite colour.

Once done, toggle the switch for Apply palette to app icons.

3. ENABLE ONE-HANDED MODE

The Galaxy S22 Ultra is a tall phone that might be difficult to use with one hand. So, if you’re travelling, you might want to use the one-handed mode.

To do so, go to Options > Advanced settings and scroll down until you see the One-handed mode option. Once inside, select one of the alternatives, and that’s all there is to it!

You may also adjust the screen’s location. In contrast to prior phones, the screen does not just stay to the bottom left/right corner. If you’re used to having the screen in the centre, you may gently slide it there. You’ll be able to thank me afterwards.

4. CUSTOMIZE S PEN SHORTCUTS

The S Pen comes included with the Galaxy S22 Ultra. It may be used to scribble a brief note, translate words, or choose random things on the screen (more on that later). All of these settings are displayed in a convenient menu that appears when you pull out the S Pen (or tap on the Pen icon).

However, not all of the selections may be necessary for you. You can, thankfully, opt to eliminate the ones you don’t like. Tap on the S Pen menu, then on the Settings cog, as seen below. Next, click the Shortcut option and delete any shortcuts you don’t want from the right menu.

You may also add suitable applications to the menu at the same time. When you pull out the pen from now on, you will be presented with a personalised menu.

5. TAKE SCREENSHOTS OF SELECTED AREAS

Why take entire screenshots when you can capture just the crucial parts? Yes, you read that correctly. You may save snapshots of specific regions with the S Pen.

To do so, take out the S Pen and choose Smart Select from the right-hand menu. Now, choose the region you wish to preserve and, when finished, click the Save button, as shown below.

Note: You can also doodle on the selected area and then save/share it.

6. RE-ARRANGE THE QUICK SETTINGS PANEL

Quick Settings icons should be easy to find. And if you spend a lot of time during the day swiping on the Quick Settings window, you might want to personalise it. Fortunately, it’s pretty simple to pull off.

Tap the Plus icon to open the Quick settings menu. Long-press on the icon you wish to relocate to the first row and gently drag it there. Do that for the people you wish to relocate, and that’s all there is to it.

7. CONVERT HANDWRITTEN TEXT

You may use the S Pen to take brief notes on your phone. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, allows you to transform these handwritten notes to text. Isn’t it cool?

To do so, open the note of your choosing and pick the text you wish to convert by tapping on the Select icon. Then, hit the three-dot menu and choose Convert Text. If your note is readable (most of mine aren’t), your phone will convert it in a couple of seconds.

All you need to do is copy and paste them in the appropriate place.

8. KEEP THE SCREEN ON

Do you find it frustrating when the screen goes black when you’re reading an ebook or a long text? You can, of course, prolong your phone’s screen out timer. The wise thing to do in such a circumstance, though, is to activate the ‘Keep screen on…’ gesture. It guarantees that the screen remains illuminated while you are gazing at it.

Because this function uses the front camera to recognise your face, the battery may suffer in the long term. However, if you like things to be simple, you may activate this function.

You will find the setting under Advanced settings > Motions and gestures.

9. CUSTOMIZE THE SIDE KEY

The Samsung Galaxy S22 offers several modifications, including the ability to personalise the Side Key. That is, indeed, the name of the second button on the right side.

For the time being, you can configure the Double-press and Press and hold functions. The latter, by default, engages Bixby. If you wish to turn off your phone, go to the Quick Settings menu and press on the Power button. And, yes, it may be vexing. So, if you want the traditional Power button back, select the second option from the menu.

At the same time, you can pick an app of your choice for the Double press action.

10. SEARCH LIKE A BOSS

Have you ever attempted to find an app on your Galaxy S22? If so, you may have noticed that Finder displays matching documents and photographs. If you don’t want your phone to show everything, you may change the Finder settings.

To do so, open the app drawer and select Settings from the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.

Once in, toggle the switches for the categories you want to restrict.

GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR SAMSUNG GALAXY S22

The Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra come with a plethora of settings and choices that you can utilise to personalise the phone. For example, you can now add amusing stickers to your Always On Display panel to make it more interesting. You may also have the wallpaper change on a weekly basis. At the same time, you may check out the Labs (within settings) to activate some unusual features.

Look into every nook and corner of your phone to get the most out of it, since there are a variety of settings and choices to explore.
