Pokemon Go Is Holding Another Community Day Classic in April

Pokemon Go Community Day April

In April, Pokemon Go will conduct not one, but two Community Day activities. The game will offer another Community Day Classic ahead of next month’s Stufful Community Day, allowing players a second chance to obtain a previously featured Pokemon and special move. Here’s a rundown of everything you need to know about the event.

When is April’s Community Day Classic?

Pokemon Go’s April Community Day Classic event will take place on Sunday, Apr. 10. The event will run for three hours, from 2-5 p.m. local time.

Mudkip is the star of April’s Community Day Classic. Throughout the event, the water-type starting Pokemon will occur more frequently in the wild, and you’ll have increased chances to encounter a shiny Mudkip.

There will also be a special Special Research narrative with even more opportunities to catch Mudkip. A ticket for the Special Research will be available for $1 in Pokemon Go’s item shop before to the event.

Event move: Hydro Cannon

The Community Day Classic in April will also provide a second opportunity to obtain another Community Day-exclusive move. If you evolve Marshtomp (Mudkip’s evolved form) into Swampert before 7 p.m. local time on the event day, it will learn the water-type Charged Attack Hydro Cannon.

Other bonuses

Aside from the featured Pokemon and event move, there will be a few in-game benefits available during April’s Community Day Classic. During the event, you’ll get three times the regular amount of Stardust for catching Pokemon, and any incense or Lure Modules you use will last three hours instead of the usual two. The item shop will also sell a special Community Day bundle for 850 PokeCoins, which includes the following:

  • 15 Ultra Balls
  • 15 Pinap Berries
  • 1 Elite Fast TM
  • 1 Remote Raid Pass

Meanwhile, Pokemon Go’s Lush Jungle event is still running until March 29. You will have your first chance to catch the island protector Tapu Lele as part of the event
